Who better to capture the sky’s many faces than a pilot? 747 pilot Christiaan van Heijst combined his two passions of flying airplanes and photographing natural light—and it’s just beautiful. The 33-year-old cargo plane pilot refers to himself as a “traveler, adventurer, and admirer of natural light,” and shoots the not-so-shabby views from his cockpit. From thunderstorms to the northern lights, this pilot/photographer gets a rare perspective—and opportunity—that few others will ever see in a lifetime. Thanks for sharing these amazing and unique photos with the rest of the world, Christiaan.
