The international apartment rental service Airbnb is running a super spooky contest for Halloween: they’ve invited people to enter to win an all-expenses-paid evening in the Catacombs of Paris. The lucky couple will be provided with a “real bed,” a private dinner, and a concert. They’ll also be allowed to explore the world’s largest grave, which is home to some six million skeletons.
The overnight experience will take place, unsurprisingly, on October 31, and will be filled with eerie tales from the crypt.
“Before bedtime, a storyteller will have you spellbound with fascinating tales from the catacombs, guaranteed to produce nightmares,” the contest descriptions reads.
Airbnb paid the city of Paris €300,000 ($440,419 CAD) to rent the crypt for the night—the money will pay for the site’s restoration—and will cover the expense of flying to and from Paris if the winners are from out of town.
Contestants can enter by submitting an essay explaining why they’re brave enough to spend a night in the catacombs before midnight on October 20. Submissions will be judged on creativity and spirit.
Those selected to spend the night will be in good company, the rental profile mentions that that the Catacombs have been, “an oasis of peace, silence, and permanent slumber for the Who’s Who of Paris, hosting celebrities like Francois Rabelais, Jean de la Fontaine, Charles Perrault, Lavoisier, and Robespierre.”
