Arizona Man Thinks He’s Getting A Dog

When a man in Arizona saw a sign for a new puppy, he thought, well, why not. But as it turns out, the puppy wasn’t a puppy at all. It was a wolf. When he brought his new pup home, it acted nervously, required constant companionship, and even let himself go several times over in his owner’s car. He’d also dig under the fence in the backyard to play with the neighbour’s German Shepherds, chewed through barriers, and was uninterested in treats. Something was definitely off about this “dog.” When neighbours finally had about all they could stand, they took the pup to to the Humane Society of Southern Arizona where the shelter’s former CEO Maureen O’Nell immediately greeted the couple with the words, “You know that isn’t a dog, right?” They responded with, “we were wondering.” Neo the wolf has been classified as a “high content wolf dog,” which means he’s an interbred mix of dog and wolf. He now happily resides at a wolf dog sanctuary called Wolf Connection in California.
