Style in Steel: Micro Cars

Just when smartphones were getting bigger again, cars are getting smaller. Much smaller. The first car introduced in this series is known as the bubble car—and it’s obvious why. Originally designed by a refrigerator company, the BMW Isetta is compact, light, and weird to look at. Great for city driving and less so for highway jaunts, the micro car is ideal for sliding into small parking spots and narrow driveways. We just hope you don’t mind being gawked at while cruising on the open road.
