One man preserves BC diving spots through impactful images

Now that he’s learned how to scuba dive, Gary gets to fulfill another dream by shooting marine life for the first time. Diving off the coast of BC, he photographs the unique—and slightly alien—life of the Pacific Ocean.

“If I had a wish it would be to visit another planet where life had evolved completely differently… when I drop down into the ocean it is another planet.”

The former documentarian is passionate about the environment, and he and his friends want to use their photographs from various dive sites along the coast to help encourage preservation.

“The whales have a lot of people speaking for them now but all the little undersea creatures don’t get a lot of press time.”

Hopefully his efforts will help shed a light on the amazing diving opportunities on Canada’s West Coast, and preserve them for future generations.
