Hifi Salutes: Bobby Curtola

Got a Coca-Cola bottle handy? Early Canadian rock and roll singer and teen idol Bobby Curtola will gladly sign it for you. He recorded in the same studio as Elvis Presley in Nashville in the ’60s and has been loved by many all around the world over the last five decades—and he has his grandmother to thank for his big success. Growing up, Bobby and his family enjoyed Sunday dinners at his grandmother’s house and after dinner is when the accordion came out and songs were exuberantly sung.
