Six years after he returned to fencing, and 38 years after he initially gave up the sport, Rob McLean is ready to participate in his toughest tournament yet.
The Can-Am Veterans Cup attracts seasoned fencers from across Canada and the United States. While Rob has had a few years to get back into the swing of things, he was pretty intimidated by the stiff competition.
“It’s important to prepare mentally and physically because the level of competition is so much higher… I’ll be happy if I make the top 16.”
