“It’s spectacular,” he told Buzzfeed Canada. “We’re the land of living skies.”
After a lifetime spent in Saskatchewan, Allen feels he has a particular appreciation for the simple beauty of the region.
“I’ve come to appreciate the subtlety of just the clouded sky, the sky with a little bit of colour.”
Allen also loves taking photos of local wildlife, usually bringing his three dogs along for the ride. It was his recent photo of the Taurid meteor shower that become his most popular on social media, however.
“That’s a once in a lifetime shot.”
Allen regular posts his images online, so if you want to see more of his work follow him on Twitter.
