For 11 years, Croton-on-Hudson, New York has been the home of the Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze. Thousands of hand-carved pumpkins are displayed around Van Cortlandt Manor, a historic 18th century estate, creating a brightly-lit maze for all to enjoy. The jack o’lanterns are arranged into kid-friendly sculptures, as well as abstract designs, and interactive installations—and of course a few spooky spectres can be found around the property.

The Blaze is just North of NYC in the middle of “Sleep Hollow Country,” making it a great day trip if you’re visiting the city. You can also check out a live performance of Washington Irving’s famous tall tale, or take a tour of the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, while you’re in the area.
