Not unlike other famous Canadian radio broadcasters, David Marsden fell in love with rock and roll at an early age. The precise moment for Marsden was when he saw Elvis Presley on a TV program in 1956. After touring the southern U.S. as the manager of a band called The Revols, Marsden began a quest to fulfill his dream to become a DJ. He knocked on 33 radio stations’ doors and sent out 100 tapes, but it was his persistence, unique approach, and a bunch of fan letters that finally put his career of choice in motion.
